Science Blast Question
Following on from a successful brainstorming session last week, the class today decided on what question to pose for our science blast project. A group from the class had performed a simple experiment during Science Week that measured someones lung capacity. Some pupils thought it would be interesting to see if exercise affected this lung capacity. Initial thoughts
Plan We planned to test lung capacity of each pupil before exercise and compare it with after exercise to see if it changed. If the lung capacity stayed the same, we would try and exercise every day and to see if long term exercise changed our lung capacity. We would also research online and using books to determine how our lungs work. |
Brainstorming for Science Blast
16th Jan 2020 - Brainstorming Pupils from both 5th classes got together to brainstorm ideas for Science Blast. Mr Breslin and Ms McElduff explained what was required and introduced the process from the Science Blast resources. Pupils from last years class spoke to pupils from both classes about science blast. After discussing some sample questions with the pupils, we let the class work in small groups to brainstorm for suitable questions. The following is a sample of the questions that our pupils thought of:
