posted Jul 22, 2015, 3:53 AM by Owen Breslin   [ updated Sep 8, 2015, 3:22 PM ]

Every year we feel a mixture of emotions as we wave goodbye to the group of sixth class. We are sad to see them leave yet wish them well for the future. This years group really are a remarkable bunch and we are sure great things lie ahead for each one of them. Just before saying goodbye te children were presented with medals commemorating their time here. Thanks to the parents association for their support as well.

An initiative begun by 5th class and supported by  the whole school raised an amazing €1800 to purchase a cow  for a family in a third world country.  Well done to all pupils involved

The Colin Dunne Schools Track and Field Championships honours our late teacher and friend Colin, who sadly passed away  in 2009.  A team of 40 athletes from the school took part in this years championships involving 80m, 600m and relay races as well as shot put and long jump.  Our 6th class boys finished third overall with pride of place going to Conor Dunne who won the 600m race in fine style!

The Parents Association held a very successful bake sale in the school hall today. There was a wide variety of goods on offer and it continues to be one of the most popular events of the year for the pupils. Many thanks to all that supported.
