As part of Catholic Schools Week 2018,  Killeigh NS held its annual Grandparents day today. A large crowd of grandparents and parents gathered in the school hall where Mr White led everyone in a prayer service. After the prayer service, our new school band had its debut performance much to the delight of those assembled. Our 4th class pupils then sang a short medley of songs from the Peace Proms concert.
Our esteemed guests then visited the classrooms where their grandchildren where anxiously waiting for them. Our hardworking parents association then hosted our visitors in the school hall where they served tea and refreshments.

Grandparents day has become one of the most anticipated days in the school calendar and today was another enjoyable day. We are very grateful to everyone who helped today. In particular we are very grateful to our wonderful parents association who were fantastic hosts in the school hall.

Grandparents day could not exist without our wonderful grandparents who every year come in large crowds. A huge thank you to all of you who were able to come today. To those that were unable to attend today,  we would like to acknowledge the contribution that you all make to your grandchildren and we send you our best wishes.
Below is a small selection of the photos that were taken today.
