We have received the wonderful news that our schools has once again been awarded the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Plaque of execllence in STEM. Our activities that we completed last year can be found here
The feedback we received from SFI is as follows:
Congratulations to KILLEIGH NS! You have achieved the Plaque of STEM for the wonderful work in science , technology,             engineering and maths that you carried out during the year. It is obvious that the school is an engaging, exciting and                     educational hub of stem with a wide variety of activities fostering and developing scientific skills. The junior infants will                 enjoy watching the ash tree grow as they grow themselves during their time in the school. The videos of the Science Fair             captured the buzz and energy so well. There is great credit due to all the learners who continued with their engineering                 challenges during the lockdown. What amazing marble runs and suspension bridges were designed and constructed!                     Lots of budding engineers! Well done and you might consider applying for the Badge of Excellence next time.
