There was mixed feelings around school last Wednesday as we said our goodbyes to our friend, teacher and colleague Mr Pat Donnelly as he completed his last day as a teacher in Killeigh NS. We are very sad to see him go although we wish him every happiness in his retirement.

Pat has spent the last 36 years in Killeigh and has made many friends in his time here. We officially celebrated Pats contribution to teaching in Killeigh before the Mid Term break. Many of Pats former pupils turned up on the day to wish him well. Presentations were made on behalf of the Board of Management and Parents Association and both Fr John and Mr White paid tribute to the immense contribution Pat has made to our school. Mr Donnelly then spoke to the large crowd who had assembled and recalled some of his favourite memories of his time in Killeigh.
