Science Blast 2021

One of the casualties of Covid-19 restrictions was the annual Science Blast science fair that is usually held in the RDS. A highlight for 5th class every year, it always proves to be a most enjoyable day out. While this years event could not take place in the RDS, it did happen virtually online and the boys and girls in Ms Molloys 5th class took part.

They posed the question "Are Yawns Contagious?" Using the school chromebooks and Ipads they undertook research that uncovered a wealth of information about yawning that most of us never knew. They also designed and carried out an online survey for pupils and teachers. It was a fascinating project and we are all very proud of their work. They were awarded their prize yesterday at our graduation ceremony.
