On Friday morning one of our 6th class parents, Michelle Crilly  joined us to tell us all about her work as a software engineer.  Pupils from 5th and 6th class joined together to hear about software is developed and tested and how information technology is such an integral part of our world today. Michelle talked about some of the exciting projects that IBM are involved in at the moment. Of particular interest to the children was a video about a self drive vehicle called Ollie. Once again what was intended as a short presentation had to be extended such was the volume of questions that  the children wanted to put to Michelle. We are very grateful to her and to all of our speakers who have given the pupils a wonderful flavour of the engineering world.

The pupils wrote out what they had learned from the presentation and it was interesting to see that lots of the pupils had learned many different things about software and IT.
