Offaly Sports Partnership Fitness Endurance Challenge

Our school recently took part in the Offaly Sports Partnership Fitess Endurance Challenge. Patricia Flynn from OSP came into school and performed a simple fitness test on all pupils from 1st to 6th class. Each class has spent the last few weeks running laps of the school field in an effort to improve their fitness and endurance. Also as part of this initiative, the fitness of pupils in schools across Offaly was compared. We are delighted to announce that 15 pupils were amongst the top 10 fittest pupils in their class across Offaly. Further good news was that 5 classes in our school were the fittest classes for a school of our size. Well done to the boys and girls for working hard on developing their fitness. Thanks to Patricia Flynn and Jean Brady from Offaly Sports Partnership and to Ms Moriarty for organising.
