After a lot of hard work in recent weeks on their science blast projects, today was the day that the pupils of both 5th classes had been eagerly looking forward to. A bus packed with excited students headed for ESB Science Blast 2020 in Dublins RDS.

Ms McElduff's class had answered the question "Which material is the most efficient at conserving heat in a container?" while Mr Breslin's 5th class answered the question "What is the relationship between exercise and our lungs?"

ESB Science Blast is a giant science fair that involves:

Both classes performed fantastically in front of the judges and engaged fully with them,  answering questions and presenting their ideas.

Both projects received very positive feedback from the judges.

Pupils got a chance to attend two shows Marty Jopson - Invisible World's and Dr Ken- Circus Science.

Highlights from the exhibitor area included ESB, Explorium and Jones engineering.

It was a great day and we are incredibly proud of our pupils. Their work on both projects was fantastic and the way they carried themselves today was truly exemplary. We are very proud of them.
