1916 Centenary Celebrations - Mark your calendars!!!!!

2016 marks the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising and we have planned the following events to mark the occasion.

A Triumph of Allsorts

After a very successful run of this memorable play at Christmas the boys and girls of 5th and 6th class are returning to the stage to reprise their roles next Tuesday night 8th, at 7:30 pm in the school hall. Written by school principal Mr Damien White this play tells the story of 1916 and the impact it had on people. Admission is free!

Proclamation Day

Proclamation day is a national day of celebration and Killeigh NS will have the following program of activities for the day.

11:15 - 12:00 - Performance of Irish songs by all classes 

12:12:15 - Raising of the flag and reading of the proclamation

                 Reading of new school proclamation that will reflect the hopes, dreams and vision of our pupils for Ireland of the future.

12:20 - 1:00pm - Performance by 5th and 6th class pupils of A Triumph Of All Sorts

Please note parents and grandparents etc are  welcome to attend.
