Its Science Week this week and pupils have been busy taking part in our Science At Home initiative. They have been sending us in reports about something scientific, doing experiments and demonstrations all while having fun with their families. Remember all entries must be in on Thursday night. Thanks so much to everyone who has taken part already.
One of the most eagerly awaited days each year at Scoil Shinchill is our annual dress up day in aid of Trick or Treat for Temple Street. Once again pupils and their parents put incredible work into the costumes and it was a great day full of Witches Walks, Spooktacular fashion shows and Halloween themed activities. Well done everyone. We wish everyone a happy and safe Halloween break. Please click here for more pictures

We were delighted today to welcome back current and past pupils from the victorious Na Fianna U13 hurling team who won their county final recently. The lads spoke to our pupils and gave them great advice about what it takes to win titles like this. It was a great pleasure to have them in and we wish them well for the future.

We had a very special treat today as the Army Band 2 brigade based in Custume Barracks in Athlone paid us a visit. Lead by Captain William Chester they played a broad selection of tunes and taught us about all the instrument families that the band use. We are very grateful to them for coming. It was a wonderful experience for the pupils and they had a great time. We also very grateful for the use of Killeigh Community centre. Check out our website for more photos and videos.
