Scoil Shinchill travelled to the Harriers to take part in the Offaly Schools Cross country races recently. This was the first time since Covid that this event ws held and it proved to be a most enjoyable day. It also proved to be a very successful day for Killeigh as we had a number of medal winners. Well done to all of our young Athletes.

Congratulations to our wonderful girls football team who recently won the Cuman na mBunscoil final against a gallant Mucklagh team. The girls made a good start but Mucklagh put up a great fight in the first half. While there are undoubtedly stars on this team, what was most pleasing was the contribution that each and every girl made to securing the win. Well done girls!
We were absolutely delighted to hear that the Killeigh Community games girls team won the All Ireland U11 soccer final last weekend, This is a super achievement and we are just so proud of the girls. We congratulate them and their coaches. A special school assembly was held on Monday to celebrate this success and to celebrate this significant win, everyone was excused from Homework on Monday evening.
It was a double celebration for Killeigh on Sat last, as the St Sinchills camogie team had a wonderful win against St Cillians to win the intermediate cup final. We were delighted to welcome back some of the girls last Monday with the cup. Congratulations to team and management.
We send a very special welcome to our incoming pupils, especially our junior infants who have settled really well. We hope they have a great 8 years with us.
