Grandparents day

Post date: Feb 03, 2016 11:42:5 AM

As part of catholic Schools Week we invited our grandparents back to school today for our second annual grandparents day.

A large crowd assembled in the hall at 11 am and Mr White led everyone in a short prayer service.  Some of the boys and girls then entertained the assembled crowd with a selection of songs.

After this came the highlight of the day when the grandparents went around the different classrooms to visit their grandchildren.  Grandparents are a great source of information and many of the boys and girls asked excellent questions about what life was like in school in their grandparents time.

This was all followed by light refreshments in the school hall.

This years event attracted an even bigger crowd than last year and was a thoroughly enjoyable day. We would sincerely like to thank everyone for their help in making today such a success.

Thanks you to the grandparents for giving up your time to come in and visit with us. Thank you to the parents who kindly donated cakes, buns etc. Thank you to the boys and girls who helped setup the hall and as usual a special word of thanks to our wonderful parents association who worked hard to cater for the large crowd.
