Message from Ms Sheeran ahead of return to school for older classes

Post date: Mar 12, 2021 8:41:2 PM

Dear Parents,

We are really looking forward to welcoming the pupils from 3rd - 6th Class back to school on Monday the 15th. Please complete the Return to School Declaration Form on Aladdin Connect  before your child returns to school. Children should put all books and school resources in a plastic bag and bring them back on Monday, and they will be quarantined for a few days. Please go over the isolation guidelines for children, that we sent out a few days ago and we urge parents to be aware of the signs of Covid and to keep children at home if they are sick.

Seachtain na Gaelige takes place this week and next week and the pupils have been taking part in a variety of activities 'as Gaeilge' during the week. We have been very impressed with the amount of Gaeilge that the children have been using in school and the children who are working remotely have been making a wonderful effort. We are encouraging them to make an effort to use their 'cúpla focail' at home also. To mark Seachtain na Gaeilge we have a Lá Glas on Tuesday 16th March, and the children can wear green to school on that day. This is entirely optional and if the children should wear their school unifom as normal if they are not  wearing green. We plan to have some fun activities, as Gaeilge, on the day.

St Patrick's Day : School is closed on Wednesday 17th of March

Easter Holidays: We close for Easter Holidays on Friday 26th March at 12:00 (half day) and will return to school on 12th of April.

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Sandra Sheeran
