6th Class Junior Entrepreneur Programme

On Tuesday 21st January 2017, we held our Junior Entrepreneur “Dragons Den”.

The dragons were our principal Mr White, one of our teachers Ms Phelan and a local business man Brian Cloonan (owner of Cloonan’s Hardware Tullamore).

There were five groups of ideas. First up was Emer Gibson and Lorna Daly, with their idea “Revolution Carriers”. These were homemade carrier bags. Then Jenny Byrne, Brídín Walsh and Melissa Daly, with their personalized frames that were decorated with scrabble letters.

After that was Emma Beatty and Molly Dunne with their idea of Killeigh Kool Kaps. They were navy hats with the Killeigh school crest on them.

Then came Ciaran Dempsey with Slocks, they were socks mixed with slippers.

Sophie Kelly and Niamh Gibson were next they made a selection of products, they made candles, candle holders and coasters.

After showing all of the ideas the dragons decided that the frames would be the best seller. So we will start the production of our frames next week.
