Pupils across our school engaged with Maths in a special way this Maths Week. One of the more popular activities was the daily game where members of Ms Moriartys 3rd and 4th class challenged the rest of the school to guess the length of a popular song in minutes and seconds. Pupils in our school played maths board games, completed maths challenges, played online maths games and did maths trails. Well done to all involved.
Ms McElduffs class had a great time during Maths Week. They went on a maths trail around the school and around the village. They also played maths games in class.
Pupils in Ms Bennetts and Ms Bolands jun infants class had great fun playing maths games for Maths Week
Pupils in Ms Kelly and Ms Corcorans 1st class enjoyed some maths games during maths week.
5th class made great use of maths as they collected data from their experiments that explored colour blindness. The girls compiled charts for their results. They then put this information onto google sheets and used the create chart functions to make the charts below. this allowed them to quickly see trends and make conclusions.
